Abstract :
The research present an application of photovoltaic array and high frequency induction heating base on Class D LLC resonant inverter for induction forging. The inverter is used for adapting DC to high frequency AC by receiving 24 V of input voltage from battery which connected to photovoltaic array. Class D resonant inverter works under a condition of zero voltage switching (ZVS) at 100 kHz. An experimental was tested by heating 3 sizes of work pieces (2.4 mm, 3 mm, and 4 mm) and efficiency was 92.66 %. An energies which was used each time, were 0.000909 kWh, 0.001548 kWh, and 0.001355 kWh respectively.
