Abstract
In the paper the control method of AC/AC power converter was presented. This solution allows the control unit simplification and enables setting of both the output current frequency and the input displacement factor. Introduced innovations in control algorithm are very important because the hardware driver doesn´t require the independent microprocessor. The proposed controller and the matrix of bi-directional switches (two IGBT transistors) can be made in one structure. Existing previous work in the matrix control field refers to the pulse width modulation in scalar, Venturini or vector method. A complicated control process is caused in the much expanded control unit. An application of the constant switching and the space vector description of the input current and the output voltage was laboratory tested. The solution was compared with the well known space vector modulation method (SVM)
