This paper analyses economic nature of e-government performance with institutional economics. The paper puts forward some viewpoints on e-government performance. Because of low transaction cost, decreasing asymmetry information and reducing layer of agency, e-government performance is better than tradition government performance. The connotation of e-government performance is efficiency on supply and demand. E-government is advantageous on the basis of the theory of marginal utility.
