  • Abstract
    The authors describe an effort to integrate the image transform algorithm onto silicon. A standard cell chip of 1-μm CMOS technology was designed that can perform image compression based on the integer cosine transform (ICT) at 50 MHz. A brief overview is given of the 2-D ICT chip and the transform technique used. The special design features adopted in this chip and its detailed specifications are outlined
