Abstract
The authors compare the performance of the adaptive least mean square (LMS) orthogonal filters with those of adaptive LMS direct form and lattice form infinite impulse response (IIR) filters. The comparison is based on the complexities of computing the gradient, and monitoring the stability as well as the convergence properties observed from computer simulations when the adaptive filters are applied to system identification
