Abstract :
The article provides rough illustrative estimates of the potential of river free flow hydrokinetic devices, gives a short general introduction into hydrokinetic devices and their division into wave and free flow devices. Method for evaluation of the potential of the rivers for use of hydrokinetic devices is described as well as results that can be obtained with it. Most important knowledge that is obtained while both developing and using the method is communicated.
