Abstract :
The Microwave Power Transmission (MPT) key technologies to realize Space Solar Power Satellite/Station (SPS) are follows: 1)high efficient microwave transmitting, 2)huge microwave output power, 3)high efficient RF-DC conversion, 4)high beam control accuracy. In order to research into those new or advanced key technologies, we have been developed the test facility which consists of the phased array system, the rectenna array system, and the beam control units. We achieve concepts for the MPT test facility. Efficiency of the microwave transmitting is 42.3%, the microwave output power is 1.9kW, efficiency of RF-DC conversion at 1mW RF input is 54%, and the amplitude mono-pulse method accuracy is 0.4 degrees RMS. In addition, those systems have several characteristics as the MPT test facility. For example, water cooling system enables the continuous transmission for more than 8 hours. In this paper, we introduce the concepts and an outline of the systems described below and some technical data is reported.
