Abstract :
Wireless power transmission (WPT) equipment has conventionally been categorized into ISM equipment. Hence, a brief survey is made on various EMC regulations and standards applicable to radio stations, wired telecommunication networks, IT equipment as well as ISM equipment. From this investigation, it may be concluded that EMC regulations for newly-developed WPT equipment should be based on the CISPR 22 limits and might be relaxed in certain frequency bands specific to the equipment. However, the space solar power system (SSPS) will be categorized into a new group and subject to specialized regulations, because the radiated power is extremely high and it cannot be confined into a limited area or volume.
