Abstract :
The popular circuit simulator platform SPICE2G.6 was chosen for the development of an advanced macromodel for the 6N134 optocoupler. A specific aim was to develop a single set of parameters that could demonstrate temperature tracking over the entire range. The compact nature of a single parameter set increases the portability and ease of use of the macromodel. The subcircuit model presented properly simulates DC and transient characteristics over the temperature range -55 to 125°C using a single parameter set and the TEMP statement available within SPICE. The model´s limitations and predictive accuracy relative to measured data are described
