Abstract :
The aim of this paper is to estimate the relative permittivity εr2´ and AC conductivity σAC2 of the water treed region by assuming the non-penetrated water treed XLPE sheet sample as a Maxwell-Wagner two-layer capacitor composed of a non-degraded layer and a water treed layer. The changes of εr2´ and σAC2 have been analyzed based on the symmetrical effective medium approximation (EMA) theory
