Abstract :
Road layout is one of the most important parts in landscape design. A good design of road layout largely enriches the experience of landscape. By learning from the research achievements of cellular automata, which is practiced in the field of traffic simulation, we have proposed cellular automata based on simulation and modeling method for constructing landscape roads. The essence of this method is to mapping the landscape roads´ layout into a two-dimensional cellular space. Meanwhile, it generates 5 evolution rules to simulate the visitor´s behavior according to their behavior patterns, and among which the fifth rule solves the issue of the visitors´ collisions by using ´counterchange method´. The rule simplifies the calculation of the collisions as well.
