Abstract :
The phase entropy based algorithm for carrier frequency offset estimation is non-data-aided and provides outstanding performance. However, it demands long-duration signals to provide good performance, and this leads to high search complexity and computation complexity. This paper proposes a phase-wrapping method for probability density function estimation which is the key process of the estimation of the entropy, and we apply it to the phase entropy based CFO estimation algorithms. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithms outperform the previously proposed algorithms especially for short-duration signals.
