Abstract :
This paper presents basic design for patch antenna element with fan structure operated at the LTE (Long Term Evolution) UHF band. The proposed antenna based on the PIFA (Planar Inverted-F type Antenna) was considered a meander line structure to satisfy resonance in LTE Band at a small restricted area of 30 × 24 mm. In order to control directivity of the radiation pattern, a fan-shaped radiator structure was designed and performed. The bandwidth of proposed radiator is about 50 MHz (740~790 MHz) below -10 dB return loss and the calculated isolation between (1) and (4) position in Fig. 7 shows about -7 dB at LTE band. The measured return loss shows reasonable agreement with the calculated one.
