Abstract :
This paper presents a 4-channel 1.25-to-10.3Gb/s backplane transceiver macro which achieves 35.8 dB compensation at 10.3125 Gb/s. A receiver LE and 1-tap DFE are adapted using the sign-based zero-forcing (S-ZF) scheme, which is applicable to any LE circuit and can be implemented in simple logic.
