Abstract :
In this paper we present analytical and experimental results that lay out fundamental limits on the VfQ product of transmision line oscillators. It specifically examine offset Blumlein and coaxial quarter-wave resonators, and find specific expressions for the two. Other transmission line geometries are expected to follow similar performance limits.
