Abstract :
We review recent progresses on the use of phase-conjugated twin waves (PCTWs) to enhance optical transmission performance in both nonlinear and linear regimes, including spectrally-efficient dual-PCTWs, real-valued OFDM signal with Hermitian symmetry, and positive-valued OFDM twins suitable for cost-effective IM/DD.
