Abstract
A fiber-optic fluorescence thermometer is a useful technique for temperature measurement in extraordinary conditions. However, high temperature measurement is hard for the fluorescence thermometer due to thermal quenching of fluorescence. To develop the wide range thermometer, a hybrid fiber-optic thermometer which combines the fluorescence thermometry and the thermal radiation thermometry has been fabricated using Cr ion doped phosphor crystal. In this paper, temperature dependence of fluorescent lifetime and blackbody radiation from Cr ion doped phosphor crystal is reported for wide range temperature measurement
