Abstract :
According to many countries´ research of marine environment and the exploiting of marine resources, a marine data collecting system for self-elevating buoys has been designed and developed. This system is crucial for observing temperature, humidity, light intensity, dissolved oxygen, and CTD parameters. The data collection system consists of the buoy module and submersible buoy module based on MSP430F149. The buoy module collects the data from the sensors group, which is stored into the local SD card, and then sends to the human-computer interaction platform. The submersible buoy module is responsible for controlling the going up and down of the buoy module. The experimental results show that the data collection system is low power consumption, safe, and reliable.
