  • Abstract
    The paper reports on a 32-channel wireless implantable neural recording system that operates based on time-division multiplexing of pulse-width-modulated signals .This architecture tackles the bandwidth problem throughout the system, while transferring the complexities in the opposite direction, from the implantable unit, where size and power are extremely limited to the external unit. It also provides a high level of flexibility by allowing the user trade off the system´s bandwidth, sampling rate, dynamic range, and resolution, depending on the type of neural signals and the number of active channels.
