Abstract
A new cryostat for low-temperature measurement was developed. It enables us to calibrate standard platinum resistance thermometers at a temperature close to the triple point temperature of argon by using the boiling point of a cryogen such as liquid nitrogen, with high temperature stability. The structure of the cryostat is devised to prevent heat flux from the outside. Furthermore, it is possible to regulate the temperature by controlling the pressure in the cryostat to bring the measurement temperature close to the triple point temperature of argon.
