Abstract
There are many applications in which precise non-contact measuring methods of position and attitude are needed. In this paper we propose a new two dimension position measurement technique for a real-time position measurement system. This technique encodes the laser beam by using a combination of ALL-ON sequence, M-sequence and Inverse of M-sequence. The encoded laser beam is used to scan the semi-open field from left and right laser sources. The center of an observing point and N sectors of observing code are determined by using the differential pulses generated from the detected part of ALL-ON sequence, M-sequence and Inverse of M-sequence. System design is performed to realize the accuracy of the measurement. Software is also design to automate the computation of self-position detection. In this paper we prove that out technique improve the accuracy of the measurement by comparing our experiment error with the quantization error.
