Abstract
In this paper, we present several interpolation methods for video transmission that have taken into consideration both the spatial and temporal correlations in video data. We apply these interpolators in very-low-bit-rate (less than 64 kbits/s) transmission based on a decimation/interpolation scheme we proposed earlier. We found that, with this scheme and newly developed interpolators, it is quite feasible to transmit video sequences with CIF format at VLBR where H.261 is used as the baseline codec
