Abstract :
In this article, the theoretical description of electromagnetic waves in planar waveguide structure is investigated. The waveguide structure under investigation are periodical bent wires, in which flows an alternative current. Then the propagation of electromagnetic waves in rectangular dielectric waveguide with effective dielectric and magnetic constants was investigated. The dispersion equation is found and investigated. Dispersion curve is obtained. The comparison of dispersion equation and the result of experimental conditions of waveguide propagation shows good accordance with the theoretical results and experimental data. The value for minimal λ must be more a sum of double period of structure plus its width and 4 times more as period in the direction of wave propagation.
