Abstract :
We propose a face recognition system which distinguishes between a person and a face photo from infrared images. The system can detect a facial region robust for background variations because of the characteristic of infrared images. Person-photo distinction is performed by a method based on the photometric stereo. The method can detect a curved photo as well as a flat photo.
