Abstract :
This paper presents a new type Hybrid Excitation Synchronous Generator (HESG). Its structure characteristics and operation principles are described. And also the calculation of 3D magnetic field of the HSEG is carried out by using Finite Element Method (FEM). The experiments prove that its structure is rational, the control principle is effective and the stable control on terminal voltage can be realized. This is beneficial in building the foundation theory of HESG analysis.
