Abstract
This study tested grip force on cylindrical handles to evaluate the relationships between handle diameter (50-75 mm diameter handles), perceived comfort, finger and phalange force distribution. The force glove system was used for development and estimation of various products. It is system for measurement occurred forces when subject grip the objects. It is consists of sensor assembly with 46 cells and 2 wireless storage devices. The maximum grip force was highly correlated to the weight and diameter of the subject. Maximum grip forces applied to the type 1, 2, 3 and 4 were about 12 N, 9 N, 6.1 N and 1.4 N, respectively. It was tend to increase the maximum force at the large diameter than small diameter in the same weight.
