Abstract :
The reliability of a system is evaluated on the basis of faults which are permanent in nature. System failures are also due to faults which are intermittent in nature, i.e., faults or errors that are occasionally present due to unstable hardware or software states. A model for studying reliability of digital systems subject to both permanent and intermittent faults is developed. The model is based on a Markov model containing three states
