Abstract :
A little practical database for training and testing of our traffic sign text detector, was established in this work. Advanced region extraction and text location methods, and error correction model was applied to recognize and understand the text in a traffic sign scene image. Experimental results showed the satisfactory performance for some natural scene images to contain traffic sign text.
