Abstract :
The current developments of VLSI DSP technology are reviewed. Specific topics addressed include general purpose DSP chips (floating-point DSP processors, parallel DSP chips, and reduced instruction set computer (RISC) DSP chips); and DSP cores (generic core processor and DSP controllers). Application-specific DSP chips are also discussed
