Abstract :
In this paper a novel Binary Phase Shift Keying demodulator is presented for inductively powered wireless links. The data demodulation is based on differentiating from the received carrier by an RC phase-shift-network. After the differentiation, at first, generated binary pulses from sine and cosine signals are used for clock recovery. Afterwards, the binary data is extracted from the modulated BPSK signal. The lowpower consumption and high data rate are achieved by the datarate- to-carrier frequency ratio of 100%. This circuit is designed and simulated in a 0.18-μm CMOS technology. At a data transmission rate of 5Mbps, the power consumption of the circuit is 550μw at 1.8V.
