Abstract :
The existing congestion control algorithms perform badly in wide-bandwidth networks because of their slow response with large congestion windows. Furthermore, they suffer from unfairness and low link utilization when they share the network with the standard TCP. To overcome these problems, a new window control algorithm using the buffer state and the number of flows in the router is proposed. The simulation shows that the proposed algorithm improves fairness and link utilization in the wide-bandwidth networks.
