Abstract
In this paper, we apply the Shuffled Frog Leaping (SFL) algorithm for optimal design of reconfigurable antenna arrays with phase-only control of discrete phase shifters. The problem is to find two types of discrete phase distributions (of a six-bit discrete phase shifter) that incorporate with a uniform amplitude distribution, for generating a pencil beam and a cosecant pattern which are used in multi beam phased array antennas.
