Abstract
This paper deals with the obtaining of composite frequencies and their influence on the quality of the television (TV) signal in CATV. Their appearance is analysed and we offer generalised method for calculating the number of composite frequencies, with increasing number of TV channels. Spectrograms of composite triple beat (CTB) for 10 and 20 TV programmes are examined, and of the particular channel as well. A formula for the reduction of output tension of the common/total signal due to generated composite frequencies is given
