Abstract :
Type K thermocouples were exposed at some temperatures in order to estimate their E.M.F. drift and inhomogeneity. About 3/spl deg/C E.M.F. drift was observed at 700/spl deg/C exposure. And over 10/spl deg/C E.M.F. change caused by inhomogeneity was also observed at 800/spl deg/C exposure. It is dangerous for type K thermocouples to calibrate at around 800/spl deg/C.
