Web 2.0 methodologies can bring new levels of collaboration and productivity to the Navy Meteorology and Oceanography (METOC) community as it has the commercial industry. Web 2.0 will help tie together existing Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) implementations, enabling rapid creation of business applications using mashups. Users will also find more relevant content quicker through Social Networking, Social Ranking and Tagging.
