Abstract
The use of parallel and independent encoders for the reading of keyboards is discussed. This approach is simple and requires less components than any other approach. It can be expanded with minimal difficulty in changing the encoding process. The output code can be easily changed by selecting different counter chips. The size of the m ×n matrix and faults are much easier to detect. The principle of operation of the dual counter configuration is presented, and application examples are given
