Abstract :
The paper deals with the development of the automation design program of the induction motor meant to the hard working conditions. The squirrel-cage induction motor for which different geometrical shapes of the rotor bar (rectangular bar, trapezoidal bar, T inverse bar, and special geometrical shape of the bar) have been adopted, can provide the required starting characteristics. The program, performed in Matlab, allows automatic computation of four types of squirrel-cage induction motor emphasizing the geometrical shape influence on the level of the starting characteristics
