            Abstract : 
The authors describe a uniform insulated antenna theory, valid through transition to bare antennas. The transition of the insulated antenna solution to the bare antenna solution is characterized by two parameters: the equivalent bare antenna parameter and the Sommerfeld numerical distance. The error incurred in using WKG theory (Wu, King and Giri, 1973) is discussed.<>
