  • Abstract
An automated method of hermetically sealing hybrid packages with a laser is presented. The system is modular for independent operation of each step of the package handling and laser sealing. Substantial development of the control software allows the operator flexibility and a faster learning curve through menus and help screens. This method addresses the inadequacies of other method and allows for future expansion into a computer-integrated manufacturing environment.<>
