Abstract
We give an overview of a multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) spatial correlation model, and investigate the effects of a small angle spread of received fading signals in the spatial fading correlation model on the study of MIMO channel capacity performance. We use Monte-Carlo simulation methods to estimate the complementary cumulative distribution functions (CCDFs) of the capacity of the MIMO correlated channel for small angle spreads, and, through analysis, we find a method to reduce the impact of a small receive antenna angle spread.
