Abstract :
Summary form only given. Cesar is a 2 Omega generator which can deliver a 300 kA, 600 kV, 65 ns pulsed electron beam. It is located at CESTA, Center of the French Atomic Energy Commission. In order to lie more confident with the experimental results, we need to improve the knowledge of the beam, particularly the energy of the electrons, and the spatial homogeneity. This paper presents the generator and its working conditions. It gives some recent results with regard to the characteristics of the electron beam (intensity, energy...). It gives also some comparisons between numerical and experimental data about the behavior of the material.
