Abstract
It is well known that the digital spectrum is distorted, if the sampling window does not enclose an integer number of the discrete periods of the signal components, i.e., if the discrete signal is truncated. This phenomenon is known as “spectrum leaking”. This paper presents an algorithm, based on the analysis of the spectral leakage, to obtain the true amplitude, phase and frequency of the signal components, based on their distorted values. The paper also includes some demonstrative examples of the algorithm performance
