Abstract :
The paper presents general analytical solutions of spatial correlation. for circular antenna arrays (CAA) in scattering wireless channels with Nakagami fading. The expressions include the directionality of each antenna element and consider both unequal-power and clustering scattering in MIMO (multiple-input multiple-output) wireless channels. The spatial correlation for CAA receiving signals with a Laplacian power azimuth spectrum (PAS) is investigated and the effects of different PASs on spatial correlation are compared. The simulation results validate the analytical results, and show that the formulae are efficient in focusing three factors, namely antenna configuration, angular spread and central incident angle, on controlling spatial correlation together.
