Abstract :
The user capacity of a DS/CDMA cellular system is heavily affected by the fading and correlation characteristic of channels. The paper analyzes the reverse link capacity of a DS/CDMA cellular system with correlated Nakagami-m fading diversity channels. Other factors affecting the user capacity of a system, such as power control error, shadowing fading, and the multi-service environment, are also considered. Then the method used to calculate the user capacity based on outage probability is presented. Finally, we discuss the impact on user capacity of the number and correlation coefficient of diversity channels, and of the parameter m of Nakagami-m fading.
