Abstract :
In this paper, we propose a new gated divider passive combiner space division optical switch (GDPC-SW) configuration with a low-loss single-mode (SM) to multimode (MM) combiners, which efficiently serve to expand the switch size. l0-Gbit/s/port throughput and l-ns switching time has been demonstrated with the proposed 8 X 8 GDPC-SW configuration
