Abstract
A distribution management system based on loop analysis method is presented in this paper. Firstly, the configuration of the newly developed DMS system is introduced which accommodates DERs. The realization methods of key functions are presented include state estimation, power flow analysis, network optimization, network restoration and reconfiguration, which are based on loop analysis method. An efficient state estimation method, which can accommodate large number branch current measurements and voltage measurements, is introduced. The methods of power flow analysis, VAR optimization, network restoration and reconfiguration are briefly presented, which are all based on the loop analysis and show good performance for weakly meshed distribution network. The DERs´ models are also incorporated into this DMS system. This newly developed DMS will be deployed in Shenzhen urban distribution network in China and now is under testing.
