Abstract
In this paper, we introduce a novel measurement technique using stimulated Brillouin scattering (SBS) in the fiber. Here, instead of the frequency shifted by an acousto-optic modulator in the self delayed heterodyne beating (SDHB), the shifted frequency from the SBS is used to downscale the channel spacing. As a result, it is possible to simultaneously measure multichannel linewidths in the same window of an spectrum analyzer
