Abstract :
The experimental demonstration of a direction of arrival (DOA) estimation algorithm suitable for switched-beam array antenna operating in the millimeter-wave band is reported. The algorithm is based on power measurements and avoids employing the digital signal processing techniques which are commonly used in conventional DOA algorithms. Simulation and experimental results for the proposed algorithm using a four-element antenna array operating at 60 GHz have been obtained, showing an excellent agreement.
