  • Abstract
The authors introduce a novel adaptive fuzzy controller based on fuzzy inference in each layer of the fuzzy controller. After introducing the use of weighted feedback control in multiple-variable fuzzy logic controllers (FLCs), they propose an adaptive mechanism to regulate the weights based on estimated system parameters. The adaptive control is implemented by three layers of fuzzy inference. The adaptive FLC is applied to a cart-pole system with variable parameters. Computer simulations demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed controller and its superiority over other FLCs
