Abstract :
In this paper, we propose an optimal viewable area searching method for supporting user mobility using Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI) values. In order to search an optimal viewable area, the home multimedia system determines a viewable area of each terminal based on viewable angle and viewable distance. We implement an optimal viewable area searching system which includes the mobile station, media server and home gateway. Through the implementation, we verify that the proposed method can support the user mobility with an optimal viewable distance and angle.
